Once you Register as a User on Planipedia, you will notice that you have several new links in the top right of Planipedia. These links allow you to customize your Planipedia settings and take advantage of certain additional tools.
Your User Page
If you click on your user name in the top-right corner, you will be navigated to your own user page! This page functions like any other Planipage, only is meant for the specific purpose of giving yourself a user profile, which other Planipedia peers can see. Through just some simple text editing or advanced formatting, images and links, you can turn your User Page into a formidable marketing and networking tool. Taking a few minutes to enter some information on your user page will greatly improve your communication experiences.
Every user page also has a "Talk page", also connected through the "My Talk" link. While similar to a Planipage discussion page, this tab allows other users to leave you messages. An alert will be displayed when you are logged in to Planipedia, showing you that someone has left you a message. See the Talk Pages for more information on this messaging tool.
In the My Preferences section, there will be several tabs to change the default settings of various components of Planipedia. For example, you can change the language in which you view Planipedia, email settings and the way your signature appears, the way your watchlist, recent changes, date format and editing screen appear as a default. There are many other features, so Planipedia recommends you take a quick look through the options available to make your Planipedia right for you.
Go to the Watchlists page to find out more.
Go to the My Contributions page to find out more.
This logs you out of your user account on Planipedia. You can continue to read and edit articles without being logged in, but any contributions or activities will be logged under your IP address instead, and you will not receive notification of messages on your user talk page.
