Bill Winterberg is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certificant and is a technology and operations consultant to independent financial advisers. He has past professional experience as a Registered Representative, Registered Investment Adviser, and an Operations Manager for a NAPFA-member wealth management firm. His comments on technology in financial services have been featured in Investment News, Financial Advisor, Advisor Perspectives, NAPFA Advisor, and CFA Magazine. Bill also serves as the technology editor for Advisors4Advisors.coma collaborative practice management website and maintains a technology blog at FPPad.com.

Prior to entering the financial services industry, he was an embedded software engineer for Hewlett-Packard Co. and LeapFrog Toys and specialized in optimizing high volume, low cost electronic products.

He is also an active volunteer, serving on local Financial Planning Association chapter conference and membership committees. During each tax season, he volunteers as a certified tax preparer and instructor through the nationwide AARP Tax-Aide program.

Bill lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and newborn son.
