The bond calculator performs a simple calculation of the income return, the capital gain return and the yield to maturity for bonds.
Cash Method: To value the bond based on whole periods, Accrual Method to value the bond based on partial periods.
Compound Freq.: The frequency at which the bond’s interest is compounded.
Payment Freq.: The frequency at which the bond’s return from the coupon rate is paid out.
Par Value: The original issue price of the bond.
Issue Date: The original date the bond was issued using the 'YYYY-MM-DD' format.
Coupon Rate: Coupon rate or original issue rate of return.
Maturity Value: The value of the bond at maturity.
Mature Date: The date at which the bond matures, stops paying interest
Purchase Value: The value of the bond on the specified purchase date and yield. Click the button to the right to calculate this value if the yield is known.
Purchase Date: Date at which the bond was purchased
Yield to Maturity: The yield of the bond from the specified purchase date and value until maturity. Click the button to the right to calculate this value if the purchase value is known.
