The Chartered Insurance Institute's Diploma in Financial Planning develops advanced technical knowledge and understanding across a wide range of key advisory areas such as: personal taxation, trusts, business taxation, pension funding, pension income, investment and supervision in a regulated environment. .

The Diploma of Financial Planning recognises prior learning undertaken in respect of FPC or equivalent, (both within and outside CII qualifications) by providing credits that count towards completion of the Diploma.

The program is Modular in structure, with no compulsory units. The Diploma allows registrants to develop a learning programme that reflects their job role and career development. Upon receipt of the diploma, recipients are eligible to apply to use the designation DipPFS.
